Judith Olney
SAFRR Secretary
Judith Olney, SAFRR Secretary, has served on non-profit boards since the turn of the century, where she fully utilizes her wildland management and land use planning degrees. Judith further leverages her contract negotiation experience, including analysis of regulations and land use law, by serving as a subject matter expert and liaison to the legal team.
Her sustained track record of prevailing in legal actions has protected the drinking water aquifer serving Sonoma and Marin Counties from urban wastewater disposal and terrace mining.
In recent SAFRR-related work, she’s partnered with technical and legal experts to focus on public safety and the environmental impacts of development in sensitive, high-fire-hazard watersheds.
Judith honed her planning and implementation skills by leading corporate-wide programs – translating strategies into business results through the development and execution of project, change management, and communication plans. She served as a program management and performance improvement consultant for a transportation engineering firm and project management consulting firms, representing a broad range of industries. Environmental recognition includes the Russian River Keeper Citizen Advocate award and the SAFRR 2022 Environmentalist Award from Sonoma County Conservation Council.
