State Alliance for Firesafe Road Regulations (SAFRR) is a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation, working to ensure California communities comply with public safety and fire standards.

As a non-profit, SAFRR relies on tax-deductible donations to continue our work in promoting fire-safe communities across California. We do not publish the names of our donors unless requested to do so by the donor. 

Founded in 2021, SAFRR advocates for policies, regulations and legislation that protects public safety. We work with a broad coalition of partner organizations and advisory fire professionals to ensure key protections, such as, the requirement for unimpeded access by firefighting equipment and safe concurrent civilian evacuation, were retained in the State Minimum Fire Safe Regulations, adopted in 2023.

Following the success of its initial campaign, SAFRR continues to monitor and engage on fire policy, regulations and proposed legislation to ensure compliance with state and local fire and building codes, along with implementation of the State’s fire regulations.
